The last time I was home I made my dad watch Hoarders and he thought it would be fun to throw a plastic cup on the floor when he was done drinking from it. We all laughed... and then he picked it up... like a normal person would have to. What is WRONG with people??!? Not only do I not want trash in the house... I want it out as soon as possible. It wouldn't even occur to me to throw trash on my floor. If a crumb falls on my floor, Roomba isn't far behind to clean it up.
Roomba is my robot maid.

What scares me is I thought my grandmother was bad... When we cleaned out her house a few years ago there was junk everywhere. Only garbage in the sense that she saved loads of things, "just in case." She lived there all by herself and even had a second refrigerator filled with food. She was upset when we started throwing out frozen meat that was years and years old (perhaps she was expecting a zombie apocalypse?).
I haven't actually sat down to watch Hoarders, but the clips I catch occasionally are disturbing.
