Things that make you go hmm...

What is the big concern here? That I'll just be sucked right INTO the spin cycle?! Was I in danger around my old washing machine without this safety measure in place?

OK. I don't think you realized what you just did for me. I have been ruining my clothes because my new place doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser. I have been pouring it in at the start of the wash. NOW I know that is not correct and I need to do it in the final rinse cycle and not directly on the clothes!!! AHHHHH...it's like a light from above was shining down on this photo.
